Denton Avenue Celebrates 2012 International Day of Peace

Herricks second graders display their project for annual international day of peace.

Herricks students at the Denton Avenue School observed the International Day of Peace on Friday, September 21.

Mrs. Lori Lombardi’s second grade class marked the occasion by making origami doves as symbols of peace.

The class wrote personal messages expressing their hopes for peace in the world.

Their messages will be incorporated in their “Piece of Peace” display in the main hallway at Denton Avenue School.
