Denton Avenue Students Exchange Posters with Taiwan School

Lisa Parisi’s fifth grade class at the Denton Avenue School recently engaged in a poster exchange project with the Siang He Elementary School in Taiwan. The children in Certia Hsu’s class created a colorful poster celebrating Herricks School District’s 200th anniversary.

In exchange Mrs. Parisi’s class worked with Denton art teacher, Jen Cavalluzzo, to create a poster expressing their warm wishes to the students and teachers of the Siang He Elementary school, which is marking its 10th anniversary this year.

Both classes are also creating short videos to help each other learn about their schools and the ways in which their experiences are similar and different.
