The Denton Avenue School community believes in the importance of building a safe and caring school community.
In order to support these goals, teachers and students participated in discussions this past week on the books:
- Enemy Pie by Derek Munson in grades K-3
- Bully by Patricia Polacco in grades 4 and 5.
These book talks served to actively engage students in discussions about how to be a good friend to others and actions they can take to help prevent bullying.
The school’s Character Education Committee put in much effort to organize this school wide event.
