Fall Chef Series: Salsa Verde

Long Island’s talented chefs are coming Hicks Nurseries in Westbury this fall. In this popular free series, the chefs will demonstrate some of their favorites.   All sessions are one hour long and begin promptly at 11:00 am. The demonstrations are free and reservations are not necessary but space is limited. The chefs will provide tastes of what they prepare and recipes.

Salsa Verde with Robert Franceschini, owner Piccolo’s Ristorante Italiano, Mineola. For centuries, salsa verde, a cold rustic sauce made of parsley, capers, mustard and vinegars, has been used as a condiment or dipping sauce throughout Europe for meats, fish, poultry or vegetables. Robert Franceschini shares his grandmother’s recipe.
