Future of Herricks Gemini Program Still Up for Debate

Despite some reports, the Gemini program’s future has not yet been decided.

Herricks Board of Education President Christine Turner said toward the beginning of the February 28 meeting of the board of education at the community center that despite reports otherwise, the state of the Gemini program for the 2013-14 school year has not yet been determined.

Turner explained that the board has not yet made any decisions on the budget for the next school year and the board has only talked about various options.

Board vice president James Gounaris said that he asked Superintendent Dr. John Bierwirth for some options for the Gemini program, which will be discussed at the March 7 board meeting.
