Gounaris Named Herricks School Board Vice President

Trustee to take No. 2 spot on Herricks Board of Education for 2012-13 school year.

Herricks Board of Education trustee James Gounaris has become the board’s newest vice-president after fellow trustees voted during the annual reorganizational meeting Monday night at the .

The office was previously held by Richard Buckley, who along with former board member Peter Grisafi, decided to the board of education this year.

No other trustee was nominated for the position of vice president.

Christine Turner will continue to serve as president of the board of education. Turner, Gounaris and new board members were sworn in Monday night as well.
