Update: Herricks High Will Open on Tuesday
Superintendent Dr. John Bierwirth said it's a safety issue.
Update: According to the Herricks website, all of the schools in the district, include Herricks High School, will be open on Tuesday.
Parents should check the 's website and the electronic signs near to see if the first day of school will be Tuesday, Dr. John Bierwirth said during Thursday night's board of education meeting. The school does not have power as of Friday morning and if it does not have electricity on Tuesday, then for safety reasons school cannot start that day, he added.
