Herricks Middle School Holds 2013 Spelling and Geography Bees

Middle school students in sixth, seventh and eighth grade compete for spot in regionals.

The Herricks Middle School held its annual National Spelling Bee and National Geography Bee earlier this month.

The following students were winners in the spelling bee for their respective grade:

  • 6th Grade Rushi Patel
  • 7th Grade Emily Nagle
  • 8th Grade Nora Koe

Nora Koe will be representing Herricks at the Nassau County Bee in February.

The following students were winners in the National Geography Bee for their respective grade:

  • 6th Grade Christopher Marshiano
  • 7th Grade Shawn Chacko
  • 8th Grade Richard D’Orazi

Shawn Chacko will be representing Herricks at the regional qualifiers in February.
