From January 8 to 20, the Nassau Music Educators Association (NMEA) sponsored the annual All-County Music Festival.
After many hours of rehearsal with prominent conductors, students performed to an audience of over 2,400 at the Tilles Center at Long Island University at CW Post Campus in Brookville.
Over 8,600 students were recommended by their school music teacher from over 57school districts throughout Nassau County.
Of the 1,800 students accepted, Herricks boasts 145 participants in band, orchestra, chorus or jazz.
