Herricks School Board ‘Pleased’ with 2012 Homecoming

The board said this 2012 homecoming events went well.

Members of the Herricks Board of Education praised the organizers of the 2012 Homecoming events during their regular meeting on October 18 at the community center, saying that both the game and celebration were successful.

“It was just a beautiful day,” board President Christine Turner said as the Highlanders came away with the win.

Board Vice President James Gounaris called the evening “amazing” and added that “all the pieces of the puzzle came into place.” Gounaris added that with all of the games and food, the event was “wholesome” and like what imagined was a 1950s homecoming.

“For the first evening one at the high school to be that successful was perfect,” Superintendent Dr. John Bierwirth said.
