Herricks Sixth Graders Take Trip to Met

All sixth grade classes toured Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

During the month of December the Herricks sixth graders were busy visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

All classes enjoyed touring through a variety of Egyptian Galleries and learning about life during this historical period of time. Students had the opportunity to see art and artifacts from different historical eras, from Africa, Asia and Europe.

Many visited the Arms and Armor exhibit with suits of armor from around the world, including two of King Henry VIII.
