This Week in Sports: Herricks Update

A brief update on the winter season so far.

Here's a look at the Herricks winter season thus far:

Girls Basketball — undefeated with 7 wins, 0 losses (4 wins, 0 losses in league play). The team also won the Herricks Tournament, at which time senior Kim Givelechian was awarded MVP.

Boys Basketball — 4 wins, 1 loss in league play so far. George Malounokos is the team’s lead scorer with 16.4 points and 12.4 rebounds per game.

Boys Swimming — Vance Zuo has qualified for the Nassau County Tournament in the 200 individual medley.

Wrestling — 16 of the 19 Herricks wrestlers placed in the 40th annual Herricks Wrestling Invitational Tournament.
