Herricks Student Recognized for Fundraising Efforts

Lexi Zisselman, a 7th grade student from Herricks Middle School,  was recently honored at North Hempstead Town Hall for raising more than $7,500 for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.

The fundraising efforts were part of her Bat Mitzvah project which served as a tribute to honor Lexi’s grandfather who had passed away from multiple myeloma. Lexi and her family live in New Hyde Park.

The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) looks for new and innovative means that advance the development of treatment for multiple myeloma and lead to a cure.
