Manor Oaks Celebrates Author Day 2013

Author and illustrator Paul O. Zelinsky shares experience with New Hyde Park students.

Manor Oaks Elementary School students celebrated Author Day on March 19 with children’s author and illustrator Paul O. Zelinsky.

At each assembly, students learned how an illustrator thinks, matches pictures to words and how pictures get printed.

Mr. Zelinsky shared his inspiration for illustrations featured in his children’s books, like “Z is for Moose.” He answered many questions asked by the engaged audience and sketched detailed illustrations, right before their eyes.
