New Hyde Park and Herricks Schools Closed Due to Nor’Easter

Students from both the New Hyde Park-Garden City Park School District and New Hyde Park Memorial High School in the Sewanhaka Central High School District had yet another day off Thursday as the Nor’Easter snowstorm blanketed the Long Island area with a heavy coat of snow, making roads impassable and shutting down service on the Long Island Railroad.

The closings were announced on the Sewanhaka and New Hyde Park-Garden City Park school websites on Wednesday.

Herricks schools will also be closed on Thursday, November 7. The notice appeared on the Herricks school website on Wednesday.
