New Hyde Park Finance Students Learn About the Hiring Process

Students in ’s Banking & Credit class welcomed Pete Mathison as a guest speaker on the topic of “The Hiring Process: From the Employers’ Perspective” this past Friday afternoon.

Mathison discussed the hiring process that he goes through at his on Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park with the students, covering everything from cover letters and resumes to preparing for a job interview.

All of the students who heard Mathison’s presentation are Academy of Finance juniors who will be preparing for and interviewing for summer work-based learning experiences in the upcoming months.

The summer work-based learning experience is one of the main components and requirements for Academy of Finance students.
