New Hyde Park Future Business Leaders Take Second Place
Nine students receive awards at annual spring business competition.
Nine members of the Future Business Leaders of America have placed from second through fifth at the annual Future Business Leaders of America Spring District Meeting at in Rockville Centre.
At the meeting, which was held on February 10, a total of 21 New Hyde Park students competed against other schools in Nassau County in various business related events.

- Ancy Alexander – Introduction to Business (2nd Place)
- Ronny Reyes – Business Communications (2nd Place)
- Keith Heeseman – Sports Management (2nd Place)
- Alban Zekthi – Word Processing II (2nd Place)
- Abby Hawley – Personal Finance (3rd Place)
- Jonathan Chambers – Client Service (3rd Place)
- Christiana Kastalek – Public Speaking II (4th Place)
- Andrew Valentin – Job Interview (5th Place)
- Ancy Alexander – Basic Decision Making (5th Place)
As a result, all students have been invited to attend the FBLA State Leadership Conference in Rochester, NY, from April 18-20.
