New Hyde Park High School Students Fill Lakeville Road Kiosk with Art

Students' artwork will be featured in the kiosk through the spring.

Some students contributed pieces of art to be featured in the Lakeville Road kiosk this spring.

The kiosk will be a seasonal one with artwork rotated out about every four months, explained New Hyde Park Village Trustee . Some students had their art in the kiosk for the winter season; these were the first pieces of art in the kiosk.

Some of the high school students' art was done using colored pencil and a reference photo of everyday items. Art department chairperson Diane Lennea explained that she was looking for "eye-catching" pieces that people would notice from the road.
