New Hyde Park Memorial Holds Halloween Party for Community

Student activities committee hold party for elementary children in the community.

New Hyde Park Memorial High School’s Students Activities hosted a Halloween Party for the elementary children in the community on Oct. 30, 2013. All children were invited free of charge to take part in some happy haunting activities, such as potato sack races, arts and crafts, mummy-making,  and trick-or-treating, all contained in the school’s gymnasium.

The event was headed by Student Activities Director Christine Vosswinkel-Blum and all clubs and teams get involved to run activities for the children. It is a great way to give back to the community and provide a safe and fun way for children to celebrate the holiday. Over 600 children were in attendance and the event was a huge success.
