New Hyde Park Memorial Junior Places Third in Poetry Contest

Class of 2013 member Michael Lopez recently participated in the Long Island Annual Italian Poetry Contest held at SUNY Old Westbury on March 23, 2012.
The contest is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Italian. There were 47 school districts represented at the contest. Lopez participated in Level 4/5 and placed third place for his exceptional poetry recital of Dante Alleghieri’s “Quinto Canto.”
