New Hyde Park Memorial Students Participate in 2013 Recycled Art Contest

Students turn junk into cocktail dress, handbags, flip flops and bird feeders.

New Hyde Park Memorial High School students recently participated in the Town of North Hempstead’s fifth annual Recycled Artwork Contest.

Entries had to be made using recycled or recyclable materials, such as metals, paper, rubber, plastic, or cloth.

New Hyde Park students came up with designs that included as a cocktail dress, handbags, flip flops, bird feeders, and art pieces.
