New Hyde Park Students Head to Spain for Spring 2013 Trip

Spanish club students visit Toledo, Sevilla, Ronda, Cordoba and Madrid.

The New Hyde Park Memorial High School Spanish Club went on a tour of Spain over the March 2013 Spring Recess. A total of 19 students were chaperoned by Eva Morales, Jenie Mei and Andy Yen.

Students had the opportunity to visit Toledo, Sevilla, Ronda, Cordoba and Madrid. In Toledo, the students went on a culture quest. They had to go through the city finding important monuments and information. In the city of Sevilla, they saw a parade from the order of "Jesus por Maria." In Cordoba, they visited the Mezquita, and in Madrid they visited the Prado Museum and the Reina Sofia.  The students also enjoyed seeing the soccer stadium.

The Spanish Club goes to Spain every other year and are already planning their next trip, planning to unite with the Italian and French Clubs to make it a three-country trip.
