New Hyde Park Students Win Journalism Awards

Staff of 'The Chariot' student paper recognized for 2012-13 work.

The staff of the student newspaper “The Chariot” was honored Tuesday at the renewed Long Island Press High School Journalism Awards gala, with six staff members taking home awards on the night.

The gala, hosted at the David S. Mack Center on Hofstra University, returned after a 4 year hiatus, with over 350 students, faculty and others in attendance.

The awards were given to the New Hyde Park staff are as follows in the respective categories:
