Work Done on Herricks Schools Over the Summer

Here are the changes that were made to the district's schools over the summer.

The Searingtown school in the Herricks district had the most work done to it with 16 classrooms having renovations made to their ceilings and lights. The school also has a remodeled main office including a custom-made wooden front desk and the library has been renovated.

In addition to the work at the Searingtown school, has a new dance room. The previous dance room will become a music practice room.

Herricks board of education members as well as Superintendent Dr. John Bierwirth learned about the improvements made to the district during a building tour on Thursday evening. The group also saw the rooms that will house the 29 and 27 students in .
