American Express and Patch.com are sponsoring free, short-term parking in downtown New Hyde Park.
The Village of New Hyde Park has announced that American Express and Patch.com are sponsoring free parking in select areas of downtown New Hyde Park on Nov. 30 for Small Business Saturday.
As part of an ongoing commitment to encourage people to shop locally, American Express and Patch.com have joined together to sponsor free parking in 50 towns across the country on Small Business Saturday. New Hyde Park was chosen participate and the request was approved by the village board at its Nov. 19 meeting.
On Small Business Saturday, American Express and Patch.com will be sponsoring free short-term metered parking for 200 metered spaces along Jericho Turnpike to encourage residents to shop locally at their neighborhood merchants.
