New Hyde Park Bluedevils 15U Streak Stands at 10

The New Hyde Park 15U Bluedevils have extended their winning streak to 10 games.

Sunday afternoon at Memorial Park the Bluedevils swept the Bethpage Eagles 11-0 and 2-1 in a doubleheader. In the opener Kyle Cajigas threw a complete game pitching a one-hitter and striking out seven. The offense was led by Anthony Millan, (3 hits, 1 run, 2 RBIs), Brandon LaFroscia, (2 hits, 1 run scored), Anthony Pomara, (3 hits, 3 RBI's, 3 SB), John Hayes, (1 hit, 1 RBI, SB), Dylan Savarese, (2 hits, RBI, 2 SB), Matt Gorman, (1 Hit, 1 RBI, 3 SB), Ray Close, (2 runs, RBI, SB), Doug Obidienzo (1 hit, 1 run scored), Vincent Balletta, (3 hits, 2 runs scored, 2 RBIs).

In the second game it was a pitcher's duel and Mike Thornton pitched six and one-third innings of one-run ball, giving up 7 hits and striking out four for the Bluedevils.

Niko Rullo came on in relief with runners on first and third and retired the final two batters for the save. On offense Rullo scored a run in the top of the first on a double steal and Anthony Millan scored on a Rullo RBI single in the third.

The New Hyde Park 15 U Bluedevils winning streak stands at 10. New Hyde Park next faces the Long Island Hawks in Huntington.
