New Hyde Park Bluedevils Beat Valley Stream

The team remains undefeated.

The New Hyde Park Bluedevils (13/14) baseball team is still on their winning track with a sweep over Valley Stream #1- 11-0, 9-2 to run their fall record to 7-0.

In game one, Michael Parasconda was dominant on the mound going four innings while giving up one hit and striking out eight. John Hayes came on in relief and struck out two of three batters he faced. Parasconda paced the attack on offense with two hits (HR) and scored three runs. Niko Rullo, John Hayes each scored two runs apiece.

Kyle Cajigas delivered a big RBI in the first inning to set the tone for the game. Luke Iandoli, Brennan Lee and Michael Thornton all contributed with scoring runs. Rullo ended the game with a line drive double to provide the winning margin.

In game two, Doug Obidienzo wiggled in and out of a bases loaded jam in the first to settle down and pitch four strong innings for his fourth win of the fall season. Kyle Cajigas came on in relief and struck out three of the four batters he faced. Anthony Pomara and Dylan Savarese got the final two outs for the 9-2 win.

Savarese was on base twice and scored two runs; Vincent Balletta got thing rolling in the first with an RBI double and a run scored. John Hayes was on base all three times and scored two runs. Michael Parasconda had the big hit the second inning, a double with the bases loaded. Zack Reifschneider reached base twice and added a run score.
