New Hyde Park Boys Lacrosse Win Against Sewanhaka, 14-7
Gladiators kept the lead throughout the entire game.
The won a non-conference game against Wednesday afternoon with a score of 14-7.
As the bitter wind blew and rain started to fall in the third quarter, the Gladiators took Sewanhaka by storm by keeping the ball on their side, passing effortlessly and taking shots whenever possible.
Heroes: For New Hyde Park, Alex Theodores maneuvered his way through swinging sticks to achieve five goals and two assists. Goalie Kyle Rudd made over 10 crucial saves in keeping his team at the top.

Tim Brooks, Santino Mauceri and Dan Justice also scored two goals each.
Turning Point: New Hyde Park kept the ball on the offensive side throughout most of the game and had a strong lead at the end of the second quarter with a score of 7-1. Sewanhaka slowly made six goals by the last quarter, but the time was constantly trying to keep up with the Gladiator’s fire.

Quotable: “We have improved in every area and we lost a little bit of focus for a little while, but we were able to gain it back,” Coach Mike Milio said.
Who's Next? Next up the Gladiators will take on Southside on Friday in their first conference game. Milio said his team will have to play smarter and control the ball better for a “tough” win.
