The New Hyde Park Little League Major Girls started the Little League Williamsport District 29 Tournament on June 17 at Pistillo Field beating Malverne 11-1 in five innings.

The entire team deserves a highlight reel; their bats were alive, feet were moving along the base paths, and their defense was spot on. Lindsey Riamondi was the opening pitcher with Angelina Fernandez catching. Fernandez threw out three girls at third base (third base K. Mikowski), one stealing and the other two got caught sleeping on their lead off. There were numerous great plays on defense and offense, great job New Hyde Park Ladies.
