Girls have the opportunity to compete in four levels of competition including locals, sectionals, team championships and the national finals to be held at the MLB All Star Game. Tori began by competing at the second annual local competition in New Hyde Park 7/8 age group sponsored by the New Hyde Park / Floral Park Kiwanis Club and the New Hyde Park Little League where she successfully out distanced her opponents by winning all three events.

After advancing to the Sectional, Pitch, Hit and Run presented by MLB & Scotts, Tori competed against other local winners from throughout the Long Island area including Nassau and Suffolk.

Once again, she finished first among her age group which earned her a trip to Citi Field to participate in the MLB Team Championship hosted by the New York Mets, which included the top three candidates in the Tri-State area NY, NJ and Connecticut. The event was held at Citi Field on Sunday, June 16 on Fathers Day, as well as 29 other Major League Ballparks conducting their own MLB Team Championship. Tori finished in first place for the Team Championship and made Father’s Day very special.

Tori awaits to hear if she will be one of the top three candidates in the country selected to compete at this year’s All-Star Game for the National Championship PHR title to be held at Citi Field during All-Star week.

The National Finalists will receive an all-expense paid trip to the All-Star Game. Finalists will participate in an array of festivities upon arrival, including a PHR Welcome Reception, MLB Brunch and All-Star FanFest. Finalists will compete on field prior to shagging fly balls during the Home Run Derby and attending the All-Star Game.
