New Hyde Park Soccer, Cheerleader Earn Awards for 2013 Season

Kellenberg students Jose Marulanda and Eleni Muratoretake take home most valuable, most improved awards.

Two students from New Hyde Park who attend Kellenberg Memorial High School in Uniondale recently took home awards for the 2013 fall sports season.

New Hyde Park resident and sophomore Jose Marulanda was recently named the most valuable player on the Kellenberg Boys Junior Varsity Soccer team.

Each season coaches of Kellenberg sports choose one athlete whose contribution to their team is exceptional. Marulanda‘s effort, and contribution to the Kellenberg Boys Junior Varsity Soccer team has earned him the title of most valuable player.

Kellenberg freshman Eleni Muratore was awarded the most improved player award for the Kellenberg freshman cheerleading team.

Each season the coaches of all of the Kellenberg teams choose one athlete who stands out as an athlete that has worked hard to improve themselves in their chosen sport. Eleni Muratore‘s effort over the course of the freshman cheerleading season has set her apart as an athlete worthy of recognition for her improvement.
