NHP Senior Sendoff: Boys Lacrosse

Eight members of the team are graduating this year.

Senior Captain Greg Goetz was a great asset to the this season. He was the teams leader in ground balls with 105 and one of the top face-off men in the country.

"Greg was very aggressive on the face-offs," said Head Coach Michael Milio. "He was able to get the ball in our possession multiple times this season."

Goetz also recorded three assists for the Gladiators.

Midfielder Alex Theodores lead the team in goals scored with 27. He was a major offensive threat with 57 ground balls and 21 assists. He will be taking his talent to Pace University next season.

Midfielder had 15 goals, 39 ground balls and 10 assists for the season.

"He was a great defensive player," said Milio of Justice. "He was an animal out there for us on the defensive side of the ball."

Justice will try out for the lacrosse team at Nassau Community College next spring.

Team captain and attackman Santino Mauceri was a solid offensive player with 18 goals, 38 ground balls and 12 assists. He will also be trying out for the Nassau team next season.

Attackman Vincent Valente had 22 ground balls, 16 goals and seven assists.

Defenseman and was the team's leader on defense. He collected 18 ground balls during the season for the Gladiators.

Midfielder Patrick Nicolello was also good on the defensive side of the ball scooping up 10 ground balls.

Defenseman Dan Choy had six groundballs during the season.
