North Hempstead Honors New Hyde Park Firecats Championship Soccer Team
New Hyde Park team played in regionals from June 28-July 2.
Prior to the North Hempstead Town Board honored the New Hyde Park Firecats Soccer Team as Girls-Under-12 State Open Cup Champions prior to the start of a board meeting at town hall on June 25.
The New Hyde Park Firecats won the championship with a 4-2 win over HBC Sudden Impact from Huntington on June 1st at Stringham Park in LaGrange.
The team played at the regionals from June 28-July 2 at the University of Rhode Island with the help of a $2,000 donation from Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association.
