A collection of additional photos from the 2012 Little League Softball World Series game.

The New Hyde Park 11/12 Girls Softball team exited Thursday with a 1-0 record after an 11-4 win over the Canadian champions.

Here we present some of the scenes you were not able to see from the game.

The East team as well as the Central team were also picked to play in the Challenger Game at the Little League Softball World Series, spending time with the handicap children playing softball.

One or two girls were assigned to mentor/help one of the players, including helping them get ready, find the ball, throw to the right base, hit and run the bases.

“It was quite an experience for our girls and coaches,” coach Tom Donnelly said.

New Hyde Park will play against undefeated Southwest from New Mexico Sunday night at 10:30 p.m. EST.
