Garden City Park Fire Department Seeks Donations for Fellow Chief

Funds and donations sought to provide relief to Meadowmere Park chief's family.

The is reaching out to the community at large to hep a fellow firefighter who along with his family lost their home in a blaze this past Friday.

On May 11, 2012 a devastating fire destroyed the home of Chief Joe Bouderau of the Meadowmere Park Fire Department. Chief Bouderau and his family have lost everything and need our help.

Please consider helping in one if the following ways:

(1) The family is in need of a number of items including children's clothing. The ages and sizes of the children are as follows:

Dennis (age 10)

Shirt size: 10 -12
Pant Size: 8
Shoe Size: 1 1/2

Charlie (age 3)

Size: 21 - 31
Shoe Size: 6 1/2

Allana (age 1)

Size: 24 months - 21
Diaper Size: 4

All major furniture such as beds, couch, table/chairs and dresser: small appliances such as a toaster, blender, microwave, coffee maker, etc.; baby items such as a high chair, exer saucer, stroller - 2 cribs are desperately needed etc.: Sheets, towels, toiletries. Not listed here but there is something you would like to donate? Please do not hesitate to do so.

(2) Monetary donations are needed most of all. Should you like to do so, please make your check payable to the Meadowmere Park Fire Department and indicate “The Bouderau Family Fund” in the memo section of your check.

Donations may be dropped off at Garden City Park Fire Department Headquarters tonight from 630 p.m. to10 p.m. Please see Chief Mirabile.
