Miss Universe Brings Sunshine to Hospital
Sunshine Chefs nutritional cooking program is a big hit with young patients.
Miss Universe 2011, Leila Lopes traded her sparkling crown for a chef's hat during her visit with youngsters at Cohen Children's Medical Center on Thursday afternoon. Lopes, born in the African country of Angola, has been spreading a little sunshine along with the dynamic volunteers of Project Sunshine who bring their special programs to hospitals across America. A small group of pediatric patients joined Miss Universe in a playroom to create their own nutritious Snowman on a Stick snack while children throughout the hospital followed along via live streaming video to their rooms.
