North Hempstead Accepting Nominations for 2014 Women’s Roll of Honor

The Town of North Hempstead is currently accepting nominations for its 21st Annual Women’s Roll of Honor Breakfast which will be held on Wednesday, March 26 at Harbor Links Golf Club in Port Washington from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Nominations for the 2014 Women’s Roll of Honor are currently being accepted through Wednesday, February 19.

Since 1994, North Hempstead has held a Women’s History Month Breakfast to honor women who have made a contribution to their community, possess a special personal talent, or have accomplished a significant achievement through public or quiet work.

“It is important for us to recognize outstanding women for their accomplishments and achievements. I encourage everyone to nominate North Hempstead residents they believe have gone above and beyond in making a difference in our Town,” North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth said in a release.

“We want to appreciate the residents of North Hempstead who continue to make our Town one of the best places to live. The Women’s Roll of Honor brings us all together to celebrate the women who dedicate themselves to improving our community,” town clerk Wayne Wink added.
