Ralph Macchio Hosts Ronald McDonald House of LI Event

Twenty-fifth anniversary kickoff party attendees also listened to the stylings of Vic Latino.

Dozens gathered at 1920 Bunker Club in Manhattan on Monday night to kickoff the 's 25th anniversary celebration. The kickoff party was hosted by Ralph Macchio of Dancing with the Stars and Karate Kid fame and featured the stylings of Vic Latino.

Macchio said that his wife worked in hospice care for a little while and she came across the effects of the Ronald McDonald House.

"One of the families she became very close with used the Ronald McDonald House in New York City," he said, adding, "As a family they spoke so highly of the facility and what it was able to offer them through that very trying experience."

He called the work being done at the Ronald McDonald House "inspiring" and called those who put their "tireless time" into this "heroes."

Macchio added that if he is in New York at the time, he will attend the upcoming celebration at Citi Field. The Bunker Club event is the first of a few 25th anniversary celebrations.
