Airplane Noise Meeting, Blood Pressure Screenings and Sandy Anniversary This Week
Some of the happenings in New Hyde Park this week.
TVASNAC Meeting
On Monday the Village of Floral Park will host a meeting Hempstead Town Village Aircraft Safety and Noise Abatement Committee (TVASNAC), to ensure that the communities impacted by air traffic in Nassau County have an opportunity to be heard on the Port Authority's proposal to lengthen JFK's runway 22R/4L. The meeting will be at the Floral Park Recreation/Pool Building at 128 Stewart St., Floral Park, NY at 8 p.m.
Free Blood Pressure Screenings
The Hillside Library will hold free blood pressure screenings on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
