Open Mic Night Registration and Project Hope This Week

Open Mic Night Registration
Register for the Nov. 21 Open Mic Night at the Hillside Public Library Monday. Open to grades 7 and up, enjoy and evening of music by watching local artists and bands.

Senior Connections
If you have questions about Medicare & Prescription Drug Plans, Medicaid eligibility, Elder Law issues, housing for seniors, education opportunities for seniors, volunteer opportunities for seniors and seniors partial property tax exemptions can be asked Monday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hillside Library.

Project Hope
At 7 p.m. on Monday night at the Hillside Library, Project Hope will offer a blueprint to use to help build your resilience skills in weekly workshops designed to analyze your lifestyle as it pertains to relationships, work, play and sleep habits, consumption (food, alcohol, etc.)l provide you with problem-solving skills to assist you in managing your reactions to events (i.e., Hurricane Sandy, loss of job, illness, etc.) and promote helpful thinking that will increase your awareness of your own potential for resilience and help you rebuild the healthy social connections necessary for a positive response to traumatic events.
