Marisa Musto, Neighbor

Born and raised on Long Island, I am a freelance writer and full-time cooking editor. I’ve been a contributor for New Hyde Park Patch since November 2010 and enjoy delving into the many interesting stories found within the community.

With a focus on journalism and writing for the media, I graduated from New York Institute of Technology in 2010. In college, I was Editor-in-Chief of the student newspaper, <i>The Campus Slate</i>, and interned for national food and beverage trade publication, <i>Restaurant Business Magazine</i>.

In addition to being a writer, I am also a formally trained cook with a degree from the Culinary Institute of America. I document many of my recipes and food adventures on my personal food blog, www.cooksbookblog.com.
