Cops: Woman Struck, Killed by Car on Jericho Turnpike
Roslyn woman was walking across Jericho Turnpike when she was struck Tuesday, cops said.
A woman was struck and killed by a car as she crossed Jericho Turnpike Tuesday, according to Nassau County Police.
Cops said Susan Katz, 68, of Roslyn, was walking across Jericho Turnpike west of Herricks Road when she was struck by a 2012 Jeep Liberty at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.
The Jeep was heading west on Jericho and was driven by an unidentified 42-year-old woman from Long Beach, police reported.

Katz was rushed to Winthrop University Hospital where she was pronounced dead by hospital staff at 10:36 p.m., detectives said.
No criminality is suspected at this time, according to police.

Westbound lanes were closed on Jericho Turnpike near the accident scene at detectives investigated.
